The Gitanjali Group (Gitanjali), the popular and the largest organized branded jewelry retailer in the Indian Market, right from inception, expanded its retail outlets by acquiring many international and domestic brands. For instance, in December 2012, Gitanjali acquired two Indian jewelry brands, Nirvana1 and Viola2. These acquisitions helped Gitanjali strengthen its retail network. By 2012, Gitanjali had more than 4,000 points of sale and 1,100 retail sales points with different retail formats. According to the company sources, due to its aggressive retail expansion, the company witnessed continuous increase in sales and profitability.

About Gitanjali

Gitanjali was established in 1966 as a diamond trading company by Chinubhai Choksi (Chinubhai), was named after two of his daughters, Gita and Anjali. When Mehul Choksi (Mehul), eldest son of Chinubhai, took charge of the business, the company entered the jewelry business in 1980 and over the years created many jewelry brands.............
