Case Flyer Synopsis

The case flyer focuses on the issues of climate change and global warming and how businesses should embrace the cause of environmental conservation as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practice. The article argues that “our costing and pricing systems ignore the negative externalities that actions by human society impose on the environment and the state of our natural resources”. It is suggested that business sector understands the relevance of climate change and adopts practices that not only mitigate environmental risks but also provide opportunities for a sustainable business. However, to what extent can corporate organisations afford to foster ‘Triple Bottom Line’ (TBL) approach? How should businesses innovate to achieve TBL?
